In 2009 my husband Holger and I were invited to Forlì, Italy, to commemorate the 500th year of death of the famous Caterina Sforza, the Lady of Forlì and Imola. For me it was a great joy. Finally I was able to talk about my research regarding Caterina Sforza and her family, the dynasties of the Visconti and the Sforza, after studying this subject for the previous seven years. I was able to tell the people of Forlì of the very interesting life of Caterina with all the many highs and lows and about the symbols / emblems to identify not only her portraits, but the portraits of the men and women on the beautiful portrait paintings of the Renaissance. Holger and I spent a wonderful time in this beautiful city and were so much spoiled by the hosts. I will never forget the dinner with my new friends after the presentation. It was a dream!
