Don't forget, the bison or buffalo emigrated from Siberia to North America around 195,000 to 135,000 years ago. Why should the early human beings not have followed their food source from Siberia to North America at that time, too?

By the way, the connection between Siberia and Alaska, the Bering Land Bridge, existed for perhaps 80% of the last million years.
