Today is the 500th anniversary of the death of the Milanese Duchess Isabella of Aragon (1470-1524), whose first portrait as Duchess of Milan, created by her court painter Leonardo da Vinci, became world famous as "Mona Lisa". She died of heart failure on 11th of February 1524 and since then has finally been able to be with her beloved second husband, Leonardo da Vinci, for eternity. Please read the exclusive interview with her.
Yesterday I received the following email from Pastor David Ames, for which I am very thankful: "I am impressed with your work: Dear Maike Vogt-Luerssen I have been studying DaVinci for many years. I also am weary of reading the same stories rewritten by authors whose research consists mainly of rewriting other author's articles which also were written without any actual research. You have put in the hard work of examining the dress and fashion of this period, locating and citing public records, and identifying burial sites with the challenge to test your work with DNA analysis. Bravo! You have presented the most compelling arguments and, in the process, revealed a beautiful love story that transcends time. For this I pray that you receive the credit which you so richly deserve. I hope also that you will see justice done, and corrections made, for the misattributed works of Maestro DaVinci. I agree it is a travesty that greedy art collectors and arrogant "scholars" will do all they can to impede the revelation of these well-documented facts. You have given us more than revelation, but truly the seeds of revolution, since the shockwaves of the truth you have shown will disrupt the classic art world. May God, the author of truth, be with you. Rev. David Ames."
